More bollocks than a gelder's dustbin

22 September 2006

This is not, the worst program in the wo-o-orld, no..

..oh no, hang on, yes it is. Eastenders that is. Currently sat here typing away while the missus watches the biggest load of tripe it's ever been my misfortune to overhear.
Though with the wonders of YouTube, at least I can distract myself with clips from one of the finest shows on TV - Spooks. As some of you (ie Millers) won't have seen series 5 yet, I'll avoid putting in any spoilers. But here for your delectation is one of the best scenes from series 3, when Danny buys the farm. Your personal favourite Spooks moment? Voice your opinions now...

That was an amazing moment. Truly nerve-wracking and shocking. That's one of the (many) reasons why Spooks is so brilliant - they shock the audience by killing off major characters unexpectedly. Episode 2 of Series 1 where 'Helen' gets her hand and then her head shoved in the deep fat frier was very shocking. However, I think that the first episode of the new series (5) was one of the best ever - no spoilers here. Check out the website

Btw, I always thought that you bore a slight resemblance to Tom Quinn from the earlier series...

Another great feature is the number of fit lasses that have appeared - the delicious Keeley Hawes (Zoe) and that new bird Jo are my personal faves. Lovely.

Never seen it. I have however discovered Lost (see what I've done there), which is quite unusual for me as I don't normally go for US stuff. I'm having problems deciding how fit the girl who plays Kate is though. Sometimes I think mega fit and sometimes only fit.

What do you reckon?

Meh. She's not bad (and probably the best on the series - except for that one who was also in Fast and Furious - quite a sultry latino charm). Not a patch on Zoe or Jo though. Oh yeah!

Where are you up to on Lost? We're halfway through series 2 - had a copy from someone, but not got hold of the second half yet.

I hereby ban anyone posting about episodes 11-20 till I've seen them. So anytime after 2007 should be fine I expect.

Never watched Lost (though I've been to the island where it was filmed).

On the subject of fitties - Lunt, that link you posted was average - I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that she's hot. A current personal fave is a little-known Brit actress called Cordelia Bugeja. She plays a prossie in a C5 comedy show called 'Respectable' and is super-fit. Also been in lots of adverts. Link Pete - that picture of Jo is tremendous.

So, other Spooks moments?

About 3 shows into series 2 PT.

Re the laydeez (based on photos alone)
1. PT choice - fit
2. MS choice - grim

Lunt - Despite the poor picture you linked to, Kate is well fit. But not a patch on the little blonde aussie one. I love her. Despite her having a tiny beard in that photo.

I presume you know that in real life Evangelline Lilly goes out with the hobbit off Lost? No, I don't get it either.

Smaje, the bird on the link you posted looks like a tranny. 'Nuff said.

I have seen the entire 2nd series of Lost so I could tell all, but then again you could retaliate with revealing 24 season 5 so I'll keep schtum. I have more to lose.

The new series of Lost starts this Weds in the so download time on Thursday - got to agree though the Aussie Girl (Emilie De Ravin) is the best bit of Lost.

Smaje - I thought you'll be more of a Ruth man - brains etc....

***FAO GARTERS***

The little Aussie blond one is well rough. You need your bird radar recalibrating.

I have to agree with Mike, I was never a fan of the aussie one. But at least no-one cited Shannon as a fitster - what a total bint.

PS Get in! My first post from someone I don't know (unless I do but I've forgot (which happens), which would be really awkward).

Well, it's either Tex or Denners. Or Jimmy Nail.

I'll guess Tex - in which case, I presume Millward has now set your laptop up for you to play with..?

No, wait, through some fine detective work I'll re-guess at Denners.

In which case, how's yon nipper?

The bairn's OK - a little pain in the a**e though as she's crawling and gets everywhere. You should try for one yourself ;-)

Yeah come on Tranter, surely marriage/nippers can't be far off. Even Bradbury's doing it.

You don't want to let Lunt beat you to it do you?

Good lord no!

As two comedians said:

"Don't get me wrong - marriage is a wonderful institution. It's just that I'm not ready to be put in an institution yet"

and

"If you ever want to know what it's like to have a child, just wake yourself up every 20 minutes through the night, and flush £50 down the toilet"
